We celebrate the life of Linda Lee Lancaster. Born on August 5, 1950, in Hamilton, Ohio. Linda passed away on September 9, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
A lover of family, cooking, wine and music, Linda's passions resonated throughout her life. Her enthusiasm for beauty, clothing, hair, makeup and cosmetics as a stylist and beauty instructor brought beauty and joy to all those around her. A dedicated wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, niece and friend was clear evidence of Linda's love of family and friends. Linda cherished spending time with her children, Neil, Paige (Rebecca) and Brooke, her grandchildren, Aiden, Laken, Daisy, Morgan, and Nathan, her great-grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews and extended family members and dear lifelong friends.
Linda would never let anyone miss a meal if she could help it, whether they had just eaten or not. And if you had to have a lock-n-lock food storage container for leftovers, you'd pay with your life if you didn't return them! Linda was well known for her "bulldog tenacity" and was never shy of giving her opinion or giving you 'what for' if she believes you needed it. Her love was deep, and opinions and commitments were strong. Her caring and compassion were held together by her determination.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Omar McKinney and Marian June Maggard, her uncle Jimmy, her aunt Ginger.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at the First Christian Church 100 Michigan Ave, Monticello, Kentucky, 42633, beginning at 4:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at the Hamilton Church of God, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. Linda's legacy will live on through the memories shared by all who knew and loved her. She will be dearly missed but remembered fondly for her warmth, creativity, and dedication to family and passion for life, liberty, country, and her Savior Jesus Christ! Rest in peace, Linda Lee.
