Sylvia will always be a “SPECIAL ANGEL” to her husband, Edwin Ramones; sons, Daniel Cardenas (Natalia), Matthew Cardenas (Nicole), Thomas Haleamau (Amber), Edwin Ramones Jr. (Melissa), and Jonathan Matthews-Ramones (John); daughters, Elizabeth Ramones (Brandon), Elisha Ramones, and Christine Fowler (Al); brothers, Stanley Ho (Beatriz), Steven Ho, Sam Ho (Jacqueline), and Sidney Ho (LeeAnn); aunty to 6 nieces and 2 nephews and Popo to her 5 grandchildren: Ezekiel, Elijah, Leena, Landon and Ryan.

Sylvia graduated from Radford High School in 1977. After 2 years of college, she was hired on July 30, 1980 by Hawaii National Bank where Sylvia was employed for 44 years. In her later years with Hawaii National, she was Senior Customer Service Supervisor, Pearl City Branch.

“SYLVIA’S LOVE FOR HER FAMILY WAS VERY IMPORTANT. SHE OPENED HER HEART TO ALL OF US DURING GOOD-TIMES AND DIFFICULT CIRCUMSTANCES. SYLVIA NEVER GAVE UP ON HER FAMILY.  SHE MADE SURE HER HOME WAS ALWAYS AVAILABLE TO GATHER SO THAT OUR FAMILY COULD ALWAYS BE TOGETHER. SYLVIA’S FAVORITE COLOR WAS PURPLE AND SHE ENJOYED HER “PIG” FIGURINES AND DOLLS.  MOST RECENTLY SHE LEARNED THE IMPORTANCE OF “SERVING” OTHERS."

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Waialua United Church of Christ. Visitation begins at 8:30 am and service at approximately 10:00 am. Aloha attire preferred. Sylvia will be laid to rest at Mililani Memorial Park Cemetery, 1:30 pm.
