Wanda Mae Odom, age 97, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024, in Hollis, Oklahoma. She was born on February 28, 1927, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, the sixth child of a family of nine children born to Mr. and Mrs. Ott Smith of Norman.

Wanda married Jack Odom on January 14, 1947. They were married for 59 years until Jack’s death on November 9, 2005.

Wanda was employed with Hartford Insurance in Oklahoma City, Sterrs Foods in Norman, and later with TG&Y in both Norman and Oklahoma City for 19 years before she retired.

In addition to her husband Jack, Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and two sisters. She is survived by two sons, Larry and wife Sue of Hollis, OK, and Marvin and wife Debbie of Sherman, TX; four grandchildren, Jane Ann and husband Charlie of Hollis, OK, Julie and husband Jim Bob of Weatherford, OK, Dusty Odom and Linsey Odom both of Sherman, TX; six great grandchildren, Blair, Mylah, Hadie, Tanner, Carli and Shalee; one great-great grandson, Beau; sister-in-law, Georgia Smith of Norman, OK; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who gave her much support along with her sons in her last years.
