Ms. Florence Spates Freeman, age 101 passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis, TN. Florence was a member of Green Valley Missionary Baptist Church and worked as a Sales Clerk at Jake's Clothing Store for 34 years.
She is survived by her Sister, Leola Edmond, 2 Grandchildren, Tanya Weatherspoon and Davey Weatherspoon, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Booker Freeman; Parents, Melvin and Eddie Mae Bryars Spates; Daughter, Johnnie Mae Weatherspoon; Sisters, Marie Deberry and Melinda Spates; Brother, John Henry Spates and Granddaughter, Anita Dickens
Funeral Services for Florence will be held 11 AM Saturday, September 14, 2024 at the Brown Funeral Home in Clinton with Rev. Tony Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 AM on Saturday at the Brown Funeral Home in Clinton.
