With profound sadness, we share the passing of Dr. Sanjita Kar, age 54, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Sanjita was a devoted psychology professor at Ivy Tech, holding a PhD in psychology, and her dedication to helping others shone brightly in both her personal and professional life. She had a special way of making everyone feel important, cared for, and loved, and no one left her home without stomachs being full to their heart's content. Her kindness, warmth, and selflessness were felt by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Her love remains in the hearts of her loving husband, Suddhatattva Kar (58), her cherished sons Vedantanshu Kar (26) and Amritanshu Kar (18), her precious daughter-in-law Sanjana Adur (25), her caring father Dr. Kaliprasad Mishra (91), her beautiful elder sister Dr. Suprava Mishra (59), her kind-hearted elder brother Suresh Mishra (56), her beloved dog-son Oliver (4), and newly born cat-grandson Chiku.

Sanjita’s radiant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her warmth and love will forever remain in our hearts.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike with Maruthi Bhagvathula officiating.

Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation from 11:30 a.m. to time of service at the funeral home.
