Mrs. Julie Walker Keller, 97, of Blackshear, passed away early Thursday morning, September 5, 2024, at Harborview Health Systems – Pierce County.

Born in Patterson, GA on July 15, 1927, she lived in Pierce County all her life.  Mrs. Keller worked as a sales associate for Pierce Trading Company and later Gilmore’s Department Store for many years.  She would go on to work at Classy Rags in Waycross before retiring and becoming a homemaker.  Mrs. Keller enjoyed tending to her flowers and being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was a member of First Baptist Church – Blackshear where she was in the Alathean Sunday School Class. 

She was a daughter of the late Andrew Middleton & Isabelle Thornton Walker.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Raymond Keller; a son, Bill Keller; and all of her sisters and brothers.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ray & Susan Keller of Alma; a daughter and son-in-law, Beth & Tommy Lloyd of Blackshear; 4 grandchildren, Chris (Erica) Keller, Misty (Donavan) Johns, Thomas (Heather) Lloyd, and Mark (Lisa) Lloyd; 9 great grandchildren, Walker, Graysen, and Sydney Keller, Tyler, Andrew, Landry, and Preston Lloyd, Colton Johns, and Willie Altman; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mrs. Keller will be held Sunday afternoon, September 8, 2024, at 4:00 o’clock at the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Steve Boatright officiating.

The family will be receiving friends Sunday afternoon from 2:30 until 4 at the funeral home chapel.

Interment will be in the Blackshear Cemetery.
