ROCKY MOUNT – David Scott “Poppy” Kerr, age 71, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024. Born in Riverside, NJ on November 18, 1952, he was the son of the late Earl Scott Kerr and Helen Leslie Kee Kerr. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Leslie Moldowski.

David is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sandra Rainier Kerr; his daughter, Jennifer Marter; his grandchildren, Jenna, Jeffery, and Kodie; his brother, Bruce Kerr (Terry); his cousin, Paul Heinricks (Joan); and his best friends, Ann and Donald Cammus and Lusella and Otis Hargrove.

A Private Family Memorial Service to celebrate David’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David’s name to the Deborah Heart and Lung Center, 212 Trenton Road, Browns Mills, NJ 08015.
