John “JP” Thomas Pinion, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on August 30, 2024 at the age of 39. Born in Warren, Ohio, he was the cherished son of Renee Dye and Terry Pinion. After the sudden loss of his father in 1985, he was raised by Richard Dye, who provided him with support and guidance.
A vibrant spirit with a passion for life, JP was an avid traveler, artist, and music enthusiast. His love for concerts took him across the country, always in search of the next great experience. His artistic talents were matched only by his enthusiasm for music, making him a truly dynamic individual whose zest for life was evident in everything he did.
In 2007, JP welcomed his pride and joy, his daughter Emily Althea Rose Pinion, with Mary McNulty. Emily brought immense joy and purpose to his life, and he was devoted to her in every way.
In 2015, JP found the love of his life, Nicole Mixter, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Their bond deepened over the years, culminating in a joyous marriage on April 11, 2024. Their union was a testament to the profound love and happiness they shared.
Known for his charismatic personality and unwavering support, JP had an exceptional ability to light up any room he entered. He was the life of the party, and his infectious energy drew people to him, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he met. He aspired to spread light to everyone he encountered.
JP is preceded in death by his father, Terry Pinion; his grandfather, Ira "Mike" Ferry; his aunt and uncle, Laura and Ken Merwin; uncle, Michael Ferry; his grandmother, Marlene Benko; and many friends who were like family to him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nicole Pinion; his daughter, Emily Pinion; his parents, Renee and Richard Dye; maternal grandmother, Ida M. Ferry; paternal grandfather, John Pinion; his brothers, Erik and Joseph Dye; his cousin, Velora Justice; and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends he considered family.
