Annita Elizabeth Lise (née Vitarbo), a resident of Brewster, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on Saturday, August 17, 2024, after a brief illness. She was 69.

Daughter of the late Dewey Vitarbo and Mary (D'Ambrosio) Vitarbo, Annita was born on August 24, 1954 in upper Manhattan and grew up in the Bronx, where she met her husband, Anthony Lise, married in 1980, and started their beautiful family.

Annita was a hardworking, smart and loyal person who held various incredible jobs that provided the best stories but more importantly, served as formative lessons for her long career in the legal field.

Beyond all of that, Annita was known for her warmth and generosity, opening her heart, mind and doors for everybody she met throughout her life. Despite hardships she encountered, she always persevered and poured positive, powerful energy into all she did - including raising her children, who she credits as her proudest and greatest accomplishments - and somehow still had more to give. She was selfless and loving beyond the capacity of others.

She is survived by her son, Anthony M. Lise, of Beacon; her daughter, Deena M. Horvath and her husband, Dustin Horvath, of Patterson; her daughter, Jessica A. Lise and her partner, Ricardo Santander, of Brooklyn; and her three grandchildren, Penelope Grace, Cecilia Violet and Nicolas Antonio, who she deemed the other three loves of her life aside from her children.
