Normand Joseph Ricard, 93, of Nashua, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at his home on August 30, 2024. Born in Nashua on May 21, 1931, he was the son of the late Joseph D. Ricard and Aurore (Levesque) Ricard. Normand was the devoted husband of Antoinette (Brooks) Ricard.

Normand grew up in Litchfield, New Hampshire, where he worked on a farm before transitioning to a career as a mechanic at McDuffie Parts, where he was employed for many years.

In his leisure time, Normand had a passion for playing poker, fishing, and, most notably, horseshoes. He was an enthusiastic member of the Gate City Clangers, competing in numerous horseshoe tournaments throughout New Hampshire.

Normand was predeceased by his brother, Arthur Ricard, and his three sisters, Rita Aussant, Claire Maxwell, and Laurette Raymond.

He is survived by his brothers, Robert Ricard and Paul Ricard, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Special mention is given to his niece and nephew, Beth and Bob Schneider, who provided devoted care for Normand over the past two years.

Services: A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Hudson, located on Derry Road. Friends and family are invited to attend.
