Clarissa “Coony” Tenae Locklear, was born to Nancy Locklear and David Hunt, on January 27, 1921, and entered into eternity on August 30, 2024, completing her journey of 32 years.

Clarissa was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Donnie Ruth Locklear, and Ertle Jones; paternal grandparents, David Hunt Sr., Anna Faye Hunt, Rita Hunt, and Thesley Sampson; her uncle, James Teddy Locklear; and cousin, Tedrick Locklear.

Clarissa leaves behind her children, daughter, Kiersten Locklear, and son Kaisen Locklear; her mother, Nancy Locklear; her father, David Hunt Jr. and stepmother, Deborah Hunt, all of Lumberton; her aunts, Vicky Smith of Beaufort, S.C., and Minnie Locklear of Fairmont, N.C.; six loving sisters, and three brothers; her loving uncle, Thesley (Tommy Sampson) of Lumberton; special aunt and uncle, Crystal Oxendine, and Craig Canaday, both of Lumberton; a close and loving companion, Ronald Dudley of Lumberton; several loving nieces and nephews; and a host of close friends and family to keep her memory alive.

Visitation will be from 7-9 pm, Friday, September 6, 2024 at Boles-Biggs Funeral Home in Lumberton. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, September 7, 2024 at West Lumberton Holiness Church, officiated by Revs. David Junior Hunt and David Christopher Hunt. Burial will follow the service in Robeson Memorial Park.
