Epifania Magaña, born on October 21, 1943, in El Salvador to Antonio Magaña and Isabel Sanabria, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Epifania immigrated to the United States in the 1980s, settling in East Boston, where she dedicated herself to raising her family and contributing to the community. She worked in food services at Logan Airport until her retirement in 2009. Epifania was a devoted mother to her seven children: Maria del Carmen Magaña, Ana Elizabeth Magaña, Lilian Magaña, Jenny Magaña, Jose Magaña, Yony Magaña and Cindy Cardoso. Her legacy also includes 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Her love for her family was unwavering and deeply cherished. Epifania will be remembered for her tenacity and strength, she was the center of her family. Epifania was an inspirational woman with a force that was humbling and full of command. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 8, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Ruggiero Family Memorial Home in East Boston. On Monday, there will be a final visitation at 9 a.m. before the funeral procession departs for Sacred Heart Church, Brooks Street, East Boston, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Epifania will be remembered for her warmth, dedication, and the profound love she had for her family. She will be dearly missed.
