Elizabeth L. Gaertner, 102, of Houston, passed away peacefully, Friday, August 30, 2024, in Concordia Hospice of Washington, Donnell House.

She was born August 2, 1922, in Pittsburgh, a  daughter of the late James and Frances Enlow Moore.

Mrs. Gaertner attended Oliver High School and was a member of the Emsworth United Presbyterian Church.

Elizabeth had worked as a receptionist for Miller Printing in Pittsburgh (North Side) for 30 years.

She was a Meal on Wheels Volunteer in Emsworth and enjoyed animals and gardening.

Her husband Elmer Gustave Gaertner died in 1971.

Surviving are a son, Paul Gaertner of Emsworth; two daughters, Darlene Eback of Bellvue and Diane Pavlik of Houston; three grandchildren, Julie Young (John), Sarah Rittle (Chad) and Edward Eback; three great grandchildren, Addyson Rittle and Andrew and Jacob Eback; and a close family friend, Susann Schneider.

Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are two sisters, Rame Henneman and Jean Fantoni.
