Linda Ann Lewis, 77, of Hanover, Pennsylvania and formerly of Thurmont, Maryland passed away on August 30, 2024 at Hanover Hospital in Hanover.
Born April 7,1947 in Thurmont, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy and Arnold Angell.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband Darrel Jacen Lewis, and her pride and joy, her son Jacen Nathaniel Lewis. She was also preceded in death by her loving sister Jane Miers and her husband Nick Miers, her sister Dolores Shuff and her husband Sherman Shuff, and her brother Charles Angell and his wife Lillian Angell.
She graduated from Thurmont High School in 1965. Linda worked for many years at Maryland School for the Deaf as dormitory staff. She also spent time working at the Thurmont Super 8, and in various other businesses around Thurmont, including her brothers’ restaurant.
She was an avid Boston Terrier lover especially her own dogs, Hunter and the late Missy, Corky, Charlie, and Duke. She, however, will be best remembered for how much she loved her family. She loved spending time with her siblings, nieces and nephews, and her grandchildren at family gatherings.
Linda is survived by her 4 wonderful grandchildren Jacen Jr, Myracle, Sarabeth Lewis and Jason Wickline. Also, she is survived by her brother Roy Angell and his wife Nancy Angell, of Thurmont, her brother James Angell and his companion Harriet Herman of Ellicott City, and her Sister Shirley Riffle and her husband Frank Riffle. She will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will also be fondly remembered by her daughter-in-law Leanne Hadley Wickline and her husband Carl Wickline of Hanover, PA and her step grandchildren Dominic, Izabella, Jasmine, Ketria, and Glafira and her great grandchild Ayubb.
The family will receive friends at 10 AM on THURSDAY September 5, 2024 at Weller United Methodist Church: 101 N. Altamont Ave. Thurmont, MD 21788, with funeral services following promptly at 11 AM with Pastor Mark Eyer officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive guests for refreshments after the services at the Thurmont Activities Building in Thurmont.
Linda's care has been entrusted to Black's Funeral Home of Sabillasville.
