Jeffrey P. Starr, 69, of Chandlersville, Ohio, passed away as the result of an automobile accident on August 30, 2024.

Jeff was born on July 8, 1955, in Zanesville, Ohio, the son of the late William Paul and Dorothy L. (Huhn) Starr. He dedicated much of his career to working as a technician, at United Technologies / Lear Corporation in Zanesville.  He continued working until retiring in 2019 from the Bilco Company. Jeff loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, he was a proud member of the Zanesville Eagles #302, and found joy in hunting. He was also a lifetime member of the NRA.

He leaves behind his daughter, Shannon Jenkins; grandchildren, Jonathan (Kali) Hilliard and Whitney (Jonathan Paden) Jenkins; and great-grandchildren, Vincent, Jackson, Karsten and Hazel. Jeff is also survived by his siblings: Randall (Tammy Woerner) Starr, Mary Alice (Gary) Shields, Mark Starr, Steven (Shelly) Starr, and Scott (Beth) Starr, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; his longtime friend and mowing buddy, Terry (Debbie) Stillion and his former German exchange student who he kept in touch with through the years, Danielle Anson.

In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon Starr, who passed away on March 6, 2004.

Visitations will be held 12 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the Farus Funeral Home in Duncan Falls. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., officiated by Chaplain Rob Morris. Jeff will be laid to rest in the Chandlersville Cemetery.
