Maysville-James David “J.D.” Ridout, 60, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024. He was born on August 26, 1964 to Mary Zeigler Thompson of St. Croix and the late William Claud Ridout. He was a member of Moose Lodge and was a chief engineer at Marathon Petroleum. He was also a United States Navy Veteran. Besides his mother, he is survived by Becky Striplin-Ridout of Maysville, KY; his daughter Chelsea Ridout of Maysville, KY and his son, Trevor Ridout of GA; his granddaughter, Kynsley Ridout, who was the light of his life; a sister, Lynn (Jim) Heustis of Daytona Beach, FL; four nephews, John (Donna) Phillips, Jeff (Sarah) Phillips, Brandon (Brandy) Phillips, and Michael (Tracy) Phillips along with several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Ann Ridout. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. The family requests no flowers.
