Jennifer Marie "Jenny" Alund, age 47, of Washington, Pennsylvania, passed away on August 30, 2024, after a valiant battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Born on December 7, 1976, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Jenny was a beacon of resilience and love throughout her life. She grew up in Albion, PA and graduated from Northwestern Senior High School.

Jenny's journey was marked by her triumph over addiction, a testament to her strength and determination to redefine her life for her beloved sons and grandson. Her academic endeavors as an accounting student were distinguished by her consistent presence on the Dean's List, reflecting her intelligence and work ethic.

Her artistic soul shone brightly, especially in her later years as she crafted beautiful bracelets for those around her, spreading joy even while in hospice care. Jenny's hobbies included art, jewelry-making, painting, and she cherished the times spent outdoors hiking, canoeing, and fishing. Music and dancing also brought great joy to her life, capturing the essence of her vibrant spirit.

Jenny is survived by her sons, Jon Alund of Waterford, PA, Shawn Sutton of Grove City, PA, and Jordyn Sutton of Pittsburgh, PA; her grandson, Landon; her father, Samuel Priester of Erie, PA; siblings, Michele Alund (partner Ryan Awayda) of Buffalo, NY, Michael Alund (wife Karolina Alund) of Washington, PA, and Samuel Alund of Erie, PA; niece Skylar Owensby (husband Jesse Owensby) of Buffalo, NY; and her uncle and aunt, Joshua and Joyce Armstrong of Absecon, NJ. She was preceded in death by her life partner, Shawn Sutton; her mother, Karen Priester; and her grandparents, Charles and Marie Trovarello and Melvin and Lois Priester, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A private Celebration of Life will be held for the family. In honor of Jenny's memory, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
