Henry Dale Crabtree, age 73 of Winchester, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024, at Betty’s Place in Huntland. A native of Winchester, he was born in Winchester on June 8, 1951, to the late Henry Homer and Mary Selma (Berryhill) Crabtree. A self-employed farmer, Dale also had a career as a supervisor at AEDC for twenty-nine years. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed camping and four-wheeler riding. Dale was a member of Greenhaw Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Joan Sturdivant and Martha Jean Mason; and grandson, Chad Harrison Crabtree. Dale is survived by his loving wife of thirty-two years, Lisa Willis Crabtree; children, Gregory (Caroline) Crabtree and Gabe H. Crabtree; grandchildren, Hank, Ben, and Sam Crabtree; nephew, Wendall (Betty) Duncan; and four-legged best friend, Lilly Pearl. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 7, 2024, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. John Gipson officiating. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to service.
