Joyce Ann Payne, 86, of Woodstock passed away on August 30, 2024 at Cedarhurst Nursing Home where she had been residing for a few years.

She was born March 13, 1938 in McHenry Township to Alfred and Dorothy (Vogel) Schuld. She married Roger Payne on April 19, 1958.

She worked for many years in various clerical positions. She battled Alzheimer’s Disease for many years.

She is survived by two sons, Curtis (Marta) Payne and Donald (Rebeca) Payne; also, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; a brother, Al (Susan) Schuld; and sisters, Marlene (Bud) Lagerhausen and Barb Cutts.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be Thursday September 5, 2024 from 9:00 am until the 11: am Funeral service at the Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Avenue, Woodstock. Interment will be in the McHenry County Memorial Park in Woodstock.

Memorials in her name to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
