Harry J. Austin of Trumansburg passed away at Cayuga Nursing and Rehabilitation on Friday, August 30, 2024 at the age of 79.

Harry was born in Ithaca on March 12, 1945, a son of the late Clifford and Ruth (Holford) Austin. He was a delivery driver for Flower Fashions for over 30 years and worked as a limo driver at the Ithaca airport. Every Christmas for many years, Harry took on the role of Santa at the Ithaca Mall, Agway, and SPCA. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, watching dirt track and NASCAR racing, golfing, camping, and playing horseshoes. Harry also was a member of the local Car Pride for many years.

Harry is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margaret Austin; four children, Leonard Austin, Brenda (Mike) Austin, Tony (Cindy) Austin, and Johnny (Becky) Austin; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; a sister, Edith (John) Kelly; and many cousins.

The family will be present to receive friends from 11:00am to Noon on Friday, September 13, 2024 Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg. A Graveside Service will immediately follow at 12:15pm at Grove Cemetery in Trumansburg.
