Larry “Bush Head” D. McConnell, 64, of Altoona, PA; passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024, at UPMC Montefiore Hospital. He was born on January 28, 1960; a son of the late John M. and Ruby V. (Dolly) McConnell.

He is survived by children Danielle (Josh), Brittany (La-Mair) and Charlie (Nicole); grandchildren Layla, Kandi, Chance, Jayden, Akari, Sariyah, Anthony, Gavin, Jordyn and Gemma; Sisters Connie and Sharon.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by sister Caroline.

Larry spent most of his working years as a truck driver. He loved traveling and seeing the world.

He was a member of the Cornerstone Fellowship Church in Mill Run, PA. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved going to Michigan to rabbit hunt with his dog Sassy. enjoyed traveling to Ohio to spend time with Tony, Eddie and Family, as well as camping and fishing at Newton Hamilton with his sister Connie, Jimmy and James and the rest of the family. He always looked forward to going to West Virginia to visit with family there and spending time with his special cousin Paul. He enjoyed talking to his friends on the phone especially Joe. He loved spending time with his oldest granddaughter Layla and the rest of his grandchildren.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at The Good Funeral Home, Inc., 108 Alto Reste Park, Altoona, PA 16601 and on Thursday, September 5, 2024, from 10:0 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at The Good Funeral Home, Inc., 108 Alto Reste Park, Altoona, PA 16601 with Pastor Terry Fahr officiating.
