Thomas Sean Guerin, 53, affectionately known by friends and family as Tommy, passed into eternal life and the loving hands of his beloved Lord, just after 10 a.m., Friday, August 30, while praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet (led via video in English with his beloved Pope St. John Paul II, whom he had met in private audience at the end of the Jubilee Year in 2001).
A devout Catholic, Tommy lived a life of great faith and deep devotion to God, his beloved Father and Savior. He had a deep devotion to the Blessed Mother, "Mama Mary", and noticed her gifts to him via nature. He read the Bible at age 11, and fell in love with the Word of God. His favorite book was the Book of Revelation. He loved nature, gardening, photography, music of all kinds, rebuilding computers (and gifting them to his family). He worked on beautifying his family home by cutting down trees and using them for bonfire parties with friends, landscaping, gardening and cultivating herbs and vegetables, berries and flowers. He was a "jack of all trades" who loved culinary arts and loved to create delicious meals. He wrote music and poetry. He would fix the plumbing and electrical issues of the house.
Tommy was and is a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. His generosity of spirit was ever evident, even in his suffering. He wished he could give us absolutely everything we need or want. We have no doubt his intercessions will continue to accompany and help us! He always wanted to treat his friends and family to dinners, rides to places they would enjoy, and he enjoyed being a tour guide for family and friends visiting from Europe. He loved being present for his nieces and nephews, and taking care of his siblings' pets.
Tommy is survived by his loving parents, Tom and Hildegard Guerin, and his loving siblings: Chris (Anne), Eva (Christophe), Greg (MaryCris), Jeanne, Daniel (Patricia), and Maria, and nine nieces and three nephews. Please join us in praying for the eternal rest in peace and joy for our beloved Tommy. Until we meet again, we will see Tommy in the Eucharist.
The funeral mass will be livestreamed via this link.
