Ronald Schissler. 67, of Red Lion, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2024. Ron was born August 12, 1957 in Johnson City, TN to Glenroy and Rita (Bosse) Schissler. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kim, children Chad and his wife Naomi, Matt and his wife Alison, and Leah and her wife Anna, 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and his siblings, Chip, Jackie, Kenny, and Terri. He was predeceased by his brother Val. Ron loved to read, garden both flowers and vegetbles, and hunt with rifle and bow. He collected coins and record albums, loved coffee and corny jokes known to family and friends as "Schissler's corn". Ron was an engineer and designed military equipment, most notably, parts for the howitzer gun. He also drove his church bus for 25 plus years. But most of all Ron loved his family and would do anything at any time for them.
A viewing will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 10 AM to 11 AM at which time a funeral service will be held at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main Street, Glen Rock, PA. 17327. Burial to follow at Jefferson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Kidney Fund at give.kidneyfund.org
