Robert Thomas Machesky, age 89, of Bristol, Tenn., passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born on August 10, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan to the late William and Isabella McNeven Machesky. Robert was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during the Korean War. He retired as a Journey Man working for Chrysler. He resided in the Bristol area for the past 10 years and enjoyed activities at the Slater Center and dancing at the Buffalo Ruritan Club.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mae Fox Machesky; brother Richard “Dick” Machesky. Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Mary Beth DeFour, Anne Bigelow (Daniel), Richard Machesky (Kelly); grandchildren, Bryce, Zachary, Paige, Kaitlyn, Ryan, Sydney, Christian, Mariel, Caroline; great grandchildren, Brendon, Amelia, Mason; and dear friend, Velma Lemmer.

The graveside service for Mr. Machesky will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 in Glenwood Cemetery with Pastor J.T. Jerry Taylor officiating.
