Margaret McKenney, age 75 of Humboldt, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge. Funeral service will be 11 AM Thursday, September 5, at Oak Hill Church. Visitation will be 5-7 pm Wednesday, September 4, at Lentz Funeral Home in Humboldt. Margaret Ann McKenney, the daughter of Stanley and Marjorie (Mickelson) Lee, was born on July 7, 1949 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She graduated from Humboldt High School in 1967. Following school, Margaret worked a few jobs, but her favorite was being a home care aid in Humboldt. Margaret enjoyed being a Girl Scout leader, scrapbooking, shopping, cooking, reading, and spending time with her grandchild.

Left to cherish Margaret’s memory is her daughter, Laura (Kevin Rodgers) McKenney of Cedar Falls; grandson, Landon McKenney of Fort Dodge; and many extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Marjorie; daughter, Heather; sister, Barb; and niece, Maria.
