Mary “Darlene” Ford passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Friday August 30th 2024. She was born on July 17, 1953 in Bristol, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Earl F. Patrick and Mary Nell Patrick.

Darlene was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Albert “David” Ford, her brother Fred Patrick and her furry companion Buddy.

Darlene is survived by her four children Jordan Ford Lacy and husband Lou, Jamison Ford and wife Dana, Joseph Ford and wife Kalee, and Jonathan Ford. She dedicated her life to them, and proudly embraced motherhood as her vocation. Her heart and soul went into every moment she spent raising them with Dave.

Darlene leaves behind seven adoring grandchildren. In her later years they were the light of her world and brought her immense joy. Allyson McComas (and mother Katie) , Campbell Lacy, Louis “Kip” Lacy III, Carson Lacy, Hudson Ford, Caden Ford, and Shepherd Ford will carry the love their Mimi gave them for a lifetime.

Also surviving with her love in their heart are her siblings Jane Scott and Steven Patrick.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 11th from 6pm to 8pm at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester VA. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 12th at 11:00 am, at First Baptist Church with Dr. Reverend Kristin Whitesides officiating. Committal service and burial will follow at Shenandoah Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Patrick Stine, Chan Cho, Robert Reed, Phil Carpenter, Joey Cotner, and Tad Dean.
