James “Jim” S. Harrison, of Whitaker, passed away while surrounded by his loving family on August 30, 2024, at the age of 63. He was the beloved husband of 33 years of Nanette (Lesko) Harrison; loving father of Jessica and James Harrison; son of the late James and Geraldine (Handza) Harrison; brother of Kimberly (Vince Barlett) Harrison and the late Gordon (Jeannie survives) Harrison; also survived by nieces and nephews. Jim was the proud owner and operator of Harrison Trucking. His passion for the outdoors was unparalleled. Whether hunting with his beloved bird dogs, Bear and Jade, or casting a line in his favorite fishing spot, he found peace and happiness in nature. His love for hunting extended beyond just the sport; it was a way to connect with friends, particularly those at the Goodwill Hill Sportsmen’s Club, where he spent countless hours sharing stories and laughter. Quad rides through the woods were another favorite pastime, as they allowed him to feel the freedom of the open trail and the thrill of the ride. At the sportsmen’s club, Jim was not just a member but a true friend to all. His camaraderie, quick wit, and generous nature made him a beloved figure among the group. The friendships he forged there were as strong as any, built on mutual respect and shared passion for the sport they loved. Arrangements entrusted to the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120. A memorial mass will be held on Monday, September 9th, 2024 at 10 AM at St. Rita Church of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, 229 West Schwab Avenue, Munhall PA 15120. Please meet at church.
