Edward Lee Skym died on Friday, August 30, 2024. He was born on October 19, 1950, in Midland, Michigan; one of five children of Charles and Lucille (Mills) Skym.

Edward graduated from Midland High School in 1969. He loved golf, bowling, basketball, and softball and was an avid fan of University of Michigan sports. For 35 years, Edward worked at the Midland Community Center and most recently worked for Lowes in Midland for roughly the past 25 years.

Edward married Cheryl Lynn Whitehead on October 19, 1974. She survives him. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews, Kristi Skym (Stan Fisher) and Michael Skym; and good friends Bob and Dutch Stortz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Larry Skym and Jerry Skym; his sisters Linda Stein and Bobbie Skym; and his nephew Larry Skym.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and services are private.

Memorials may be directed to the family to cover expenses.
