Gladys Irene Lail, 86, of Hickory, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Trinity Village in Hickory.
She was born September 30, 1937 in Catawba County to the late Fred Leroy Lail and Ethel Hall Lail. Gladys was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and retired as a technician from Sentrol Control Group. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and reading devotional books.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Galloway; brother, Jerry Lail; uncle, Ernest Hall; and sister-in-law, Kay Lail.

A service to celebrate Gladys’ life will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Taylorsville. Pastor Dean Chambers and Pastor Joel Frye will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Those serving as pallbearers are Stacy Lail, Joshua Frye, Stewart Galloway, Landon Beard, James Drum, and Darren Belcher.
