Mary Kay McCracken, 63, of Bellwood died Friday afternoon, August 30, 2024 at her home.
She was born March 18, 1961 in Altoona, a daughter of Rosemarie (Hellmann) and the late Claude Weinzierl.
On July 3, 1982, she married Mark W. McCracken at St. Mary Catholic Church, Altoona.
Mary Kay is survived by her husband; four children, Kendra M., Mark D. (Courtney),
Hunter P. (Libby), and Arlana R. (Joshua Walker); a granddaughter, Quinn; her mother; a brother, Jeff Weinzierl; and two sisters, Denise Weinzierl and Cathy Hamel. She was preceded in death by her father; and a sister, Deanna Keith.
She was a 1979 graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle High School and in 1983 earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration at Penn State.
Mary Kay was a registered securities representative assistant at Kenneth Decker Next Financial Group, Inc.
She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellwood where she taught CCD classes. Mary Kay enjoyed flower gardening, cooking and vacationing at the beach.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her loving family.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood, where a vigil for the deceased will also be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am Friday, Sept. 6, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellwood, with the Rev. Michael Pleva, as celebrant. Committal will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
The family suggests that contributions in Mary Kay’s memory be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellwood.
