MANNING – Jean :Marie Horton Thompson, 84, died Friday, August 30, 2024, at her home.
Born December 11, 1939, in Charleston, WV, she was a daughter of the late James Edward Horton and the late Beulah Marie Vance Horton.
She is survived by four children, Anthony “Tony” Presley of Belgrade Lakes, ME, Sherry J. Taylor (James) of Charleston, WV, Charles Edward Plantz (Melissa) of Manning and John “Adam” Plantz (Jessica) of Huntsville, AL; a stepdaughter, Jonda Plantz of St. Albans, WV; seventeen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; a sister, Gail Leach (Butch) of Charleston, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Presley, and a sister, Betsy Decker.
