Arnold Taramelli Obituary

Arnold Taramelli, 86, of Jessup died Friday August 30, 2024 at the Gino J. Merli Veterans Center. His wife of 61 years is the former Josephine “Joan” Baglivo.

Born in Jessup, he was the son of the late Doro and Pearl Garofoli Taramelli. A graduate of Jessup High School, Class of 1956, he proudly served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Munich, Germany. Prior to retirement he was employed by the Tobyhanna Army Depot Commissary. Arnold was a die hard New York Yankees fan, and continued fishing until the very end.

Also surviving are daughters Maria Taramelli, Jessup, and Christine Farrell and husband Mark, Jessup; son Anthony Taramelli and wife Jessica, Pittsburgh; grandchildren Kailee Farrell and fiancé Ryan Winters, Megan Farrell, Ash Taramelli, and Jesse Warman; great-granddaughter Skylin Farrell; brother Allan Taramelli and wife Fran, Jessup; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 1101 Willow St., Peckville. Interment with Military Honors will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Jessup. Friends and family may pay their respects Friday morning from 9 am until time of mass in the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
