'Gentleman Jim'
This describes Dad to a tee….in life, on the golf courses and with all his interactions with people. He was the epitome of a man who lived a good life with strong values and decorum. He served his community in many ways…a proud and productive Rotary member for 44 years and an active member of Calvin Presbyterian Church as an elder with a strong choir voice. An avid golfer and talented gardener, he embraced his community in all aspects. Wise and kind he will forever be remembered as the best father, loving husband and valued friend. James Chapman McAllister, 97 years old, passed peacefully at the Regional Health Centre on August 30th. His beloved wife Alice and daughter Shelagh were by his bedside. He is survived by Alice Farlinger( wife), Shelagh Head ( Steve), Martine Bordeleau,(Michael McAllister deceased) Matthew McAllister and Madison McAllister .
A heartfelt thank you goes out to Dr. Mike Leckie, Dr. K. Shaw, and Dr. Brian Shaw. Also, thank you to all the caring medical staff and caregivers at the hospital.
A celebration of Life will be held later.
His family would appreciate donations to the North Bay Rotary Club, Nipissing Serenity Hospice, or a charity of your choice.
