Mary Catherine Cruise, 82, of Dobbs Ferry, NY passed away on August 30, 2024.

Mary was born on July 21, 1942 in Bronx, NY to Michael and Margaret Burke.

Mary met John (Jack) Cruise Sr. in Shirley, Long Island. Mary and John married and had three children, Margaret, John Jr. and Stephen.

Her favorite activities and hobbies were doing puzzles, playing card games like Canasta, board games and video games and spending time with her grandchildren. She was also a devoted railroad wife to her husband, John.

Mary was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Margaret. She is survived by her husband (John Sr.), daughter Margaret (Mike), son, John Jr. (Phyllis) and son, Stephen (Andrea). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Gabriella, Stephen, Madison, John III, Christina, Jennifer, Samantha and Joseph.

Services will be held at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home, 64 Ashford Avenue, Dobbs Ferry, NY on September 4, 2024 from 9:00 am-10:30 am followed by an 11:00 am mass at Sacred Heart Church, 417 Broadway, Dobbs Ferry, NY. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Tunnel to Towers, an organization Mary felt strongly about.
