Geraldine M. Demarest Clark Ford, age 97 of Port Jervis, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 30th, 2024, at her home.

Born in Sussex to the late James Benjamin and Helen (Pellett) Demarest, Geraldine lived in Sussex on Clove Acres in the house her father built. She spent many days on the lake, swimming, ice skating, and rowing in her boat.

Geraldine worked for American Silk Label in Unionville for many years prior to her retirement. She had a beautiful signing voice, and she sang at many weddings and special events. She would even have to entertain fellow diners at restaurants if there was a musician playing who knew her. She loved knitting, quilting, gardening, making clothes, and was an avid dog lover. A truly dedicated musician, she was even the conductor of the kindergarten band and chorus. A lifelong resident of the Sussex and Orange County areas, Geraldine can trace her ancestry back to William Bradford of the Mayflower.

Predeceased by her parents; two husbands, Charles P. Clark (1965) and Ralph A. Ford (2001); and her son, Lynn Charles Clark (2023), Geraldine is survived by her daughter, Lorna Rosencrance and her husband Richard of Milford, PA; daughter-in-law Cynthia Clark of Myrtle Beach, SC; four grandchildren Stephen Clark and his wife Danielle, Christopher Clark and wife Monica, Jennifer Clark Collins and her husband Brian, and Eric Rosencrance and his wife Jenifer; and five great-grandchildren Stephanie, Jackson, Lorelei, Logan, and Alexis; as well as her many loving nieces and nephews; and her caretakers Brenda and LeeAnn.

A visitation for Geraldine will be held on Wednesday, September 4th, 2024 from 10am to 12pm at the Ferguson Funeral Home, 27 Third Street, Sussex, NJ 07461. A funeral service will begin at 12pm at the funeral home. Burial in the North Hardyston Cemetery will follow.
