Coal Township - Charmaine Royer, 87, of 1338 W Pine Street, passed away Friday, August 30, 2024 at her home.

Born in Shamokin on October 23, 1936 to the late Merlin and Helen (Shahulski) Snyder. She attended Shamokin Area Schools.

She married Kenneth Royer, who preceded her in death in 2012. She attended Calvary Bible Fellowship, where she enjoyed playing the accordion.

She enjoyed spending her time crocheting, reading the Bible, and playing accordion with her daughter, Helen. Charmaine loved spending time her with family, especially her grandchildren.

Charmaine is survived by a daughter, Helen Royer of Coal Township; two sons, Bryon Royer and his wife, Sue of Coal Township, and Curtis Royer and his wife, Cindy of Winfield; a granddaughter, Kayla Hepler and her husband, Andrew of Coal Township; step-granddaughter, Jackie; a great granddaughter, Makenzie Royer; sister, Jewell Munson of Coal Township; brother, Barry Snyder and his wife, Karen of Coal Township; a sister-in-law, Ruthie Snyder; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Charmaine was preceded in death by three brothers, Charlie Snyder (Twin), Joe Snyder and his wife, Dot, and Mush Snyder and his wife, Jackie; a sister, Arlene Wright and her husband, John; and a sister-in-law, Louis Pratt.

Charmaine Royer, 87, of 1338 W Pine Street, Coal Township – Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Ferd Madara, officiating at Northumberland Memorial Park, Sunbury.
