Kathleen M. Monahan
May 26, 1944 - August 30, 2024
Kathleen Monahan, age 80, long term resident of Gloucester Twp, NJ, most recently of Burlington Twp, NJ, passed quietly after a brave battle with cancer. Born the youngest of seven to the late James & Dorothy (Schofield) Monahan of Philadelphia.
She attended Little Flower High School where she was the editor of the yearbook in 1962. She worked for the Camden County Library and retired in 2007. Her summers were spent in North Wildwood amongst her family and friends, fostering a love of the shore to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed working on genealogy, reading and never missed an episode of Jeopardy. She loved to travel and visited many places, Hawaii and Ireland were her favorites. She especially enjoyed being the judge in her grandchildren’s yearly gingerbread house competition.
She is survived by her daughters Karen (Terrence) Murray of Gloucester Twp NJ, Beth (Matthew) Green of Columbus NJ and Jessica (Bobby) Miller of South Riding VA. She is predeceased by her son Stephen Rukke. Her family meant the world to her.
She will be sadly missed by her nine grandchildren; Sean (Lisa) Murray, Daniel (Katie) Murray, Bethany Murray, Brian Murray, Dana Marino, Nicholas (Christine) Green, Samantha Green, Jason Miller and Kayla (Wolfgang) von Thaden. And her four great-grandchildren; Aidan Murray, Lucas Kilbride, Charlotte Murray and Peyton Timbers and many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Sunday, Sept. 8th from 4-6pm at Bradley Funeral Home in Marlton, NJ. Visitation on Monday, Sept. 9th at 10am at Our Lady Of Hope (St. Agnes) in Blackwood, NJ. Mass to follow at 11am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Blackwood, NJ.
