Janice R. Graham

Janice R. Graham, 78, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Heart of Georgia Nursing Home in Eastman, Georgia. She was born on Sunday, February 24, 1946, in McRae, Georgia, to the late James Graham Sr. and Nina Williams Graham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, James E. (Jimmy) Graham, Jr. and Henry Stanley Graham.

Janice obtained an Associate in Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting from Kennesaw College. She worked as a staff accountant at Lanier Worldwide, Inc., a subsidiary of Ricoh Corporation. She later became manager of their project office at Captive Finance until retirement in 2000. After retirement, Janice was deeply connected to her local roots, working as a bus driver and para pro for the Telfair County school system, where she was beloved by many for her kindness and dedication to the students.

A member of Helena Baptist Church, Janice was deeply rooted in her faith and had a passion for her church family.

Janice is survived by her Brother - William C. (Tag) Graham (Gina); Sister-in-Law - Kay Graham; Nieces and Nephews - Tuck Graham (Heather), Jenny Smith (Homer), Bailey Graham, Jason Graham (Kara), James Graham III, Lorrie Graham Bell (Eddie), Amanda Graham Tompkins, and Anna Graham; Aunt - Nancy Williams Wright; and numerous cousins. She also leaves behind her two devoted friends Linda Core and Janet Watson of Atlanta. A special note of gratitude is extended to Judy Williams Hamilton for her unwavering support and devotion.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 31, 2024, from 10:00 A.M. -11:00 A.M. at Helena Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Roswell Chapman and Alvin Lewis will officiate. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Helena Baptist Building Fund in memory of Janice.
