Terry Gene Quigley, 64, of Tripoli, and formerly of Lawler, died Sunday, August 25, 2024, at the Tripoli Nursing & Rehab.
A Prayer Service led by Rev. Tanner Post will take place at 5:00 PM, Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Split Rock County Park, rural Fredericksburg. Military rites provided by Thomas E. Woods Post #223, American Legion of Sumner will follow the Prayer Service.
Terry Gene, son of Clayborne and Annetta (Scott) Quigley was born August 29, 1959, at Community Memorial Hospital in Sumner. Terry received his education in the Tripoli School System, and following his education he served in the United States Navy. He married Denise Brocka and two daughters were born to this union, Sarah and Nicole. The couple later divorced. Terry’s professional career was in agriculture, working as a liquid manure applicator. He enjoyed fishing, target shooting, spending time in nature, stock car racing and go-kart racing, working on cars and tractors and was an animal lover (especially horses and dogs.)
Terry is survived by his daughters, Sarah and Nicole; six grandchildren; siblings, Ronald (Ruth) Quigley of Tripoli, Bill (Karen) Quigley of Fredericksburg, Roger (Elloha) Quigley of Sumner, David (Terry) Quigley of Shell Rock, Larry Quigley of Cedar Rapids, Bonnie (Rod) Wittenburg of Readlyn, Marge Quigley of Readlyn, and Tim (Tracy) Quigley of Ionia; eighteen nieces and nephews, Justin, Pat, Todd, Tracy, Andrea, Michael, Tanya, Jenny, Shauna, Nathan, Carson, Brittany, Brianna, Miranda, Shyann, and Connor; step-brother, Doug (Norma) Hodges of Readlyn and Shari (Ken) Phelps of Wichita, Kansas; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Joy Quigley; brother, Herb Quigley; and step-sister, Debbie Volker.
