Larry James Baker, age 73 of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Life Care Center of Tullahoma. A native of Franklin County, he was born on December 13, 1950, in Winchester to the late Edd and Pauline (Adcock) Baker. Before his retirement, he was employed by the city of Winchester for thirty-five years. An avid University of Tennessee football fan, he loved watching and cheering for the Tennessee Volunteers. He enjoyed playing card games, but most of all spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Ophelia, Eugene, Glenda, and Gerald. Larry is survived by his loving wife, Doris Baker; son, Clancy (Tammy) Baker; daughter, Angela (John) Bryant; grandchildren, Nick (Tara) Brown, Cory Baker, and Trey Baker; great-grandchildren, Ethan Brown and Journey Brown; brother, Eddie (Kay) Baker; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 11am-1pm on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
