Philip Lawerence Kennedy was born on March 22, 1971, in Raleigh, North Carolina. Philip resided in Bend, Oregon and passed away at 53 years of age on August 13, 2024. Philip is the son of Larry G Kennedy and Raina D Kennedy who live in Bradenton, Florida. Philip has three children Anika, Xavier, and Alexandra Kennedy.

Philip received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering at University of South Florida and his Master of Business Administration in Technology Management. Philip had an amazing career path that began with Jabil Circuits in Florida then catapulted him to Google as a Product & Technical Engineering Manager in California and most recently with Meta where he was the Senior Manager for Product Operations Engineering with Facebook. Philip’s passion for technology and science was truly remarkable.

Philip was diagnosed with Colon Cancer two years prior to his death. He remained positive throughout his cancer treatments and was determined to win the battle. Philip found an amazing partner in life, Michelle who loved and cared for him deeply through the last six years of his life. Philip and Michelle moved to their beloved home in Oregon where they both enjoyed the gorgeous beauty of Bend and all the spectacular nature it offers.

When Philip wasn’t immersed into a deep LONG scientific conversation, he found himself enjoying one of his favorite pastimes; Snowboarding, Fishing, Biking, Camping, Brewing Delicious Beer yet always using some kind of new electronic gadget to enhance the performance of his hobby. What we all remember so much about Philip is his unbelievable mind! Philip loved learning about absolutely everything! The wealth of knowledge my brother had was spectacular! We will always, always miss you and wish we had more LONG detailed explanations about things we knew nothing about.
