Robert Jay Collins, passed away on August 17, 2024 in Enville, Tennessee. He was 66 years old.

Jay was born on April 2nd, 1958 in Greenville, Mississippi. Son of Mary Collins (Dodd) and Steven Collins. He grew up playing on the streets and in the woods of Savannah, Tennessee. Jay was a retired disabled Veteran. He dedicated his life to this great country for 16 years in the United States Army. He was a proud veteran. Jay enjoyed being in the outdoors, including activities like hunting, fishes, hiking, biking and swimming in lakes and rivers. He was an avid bowler, even after breaking his right hand he taught himself how to bowl with his left so that he could continue playing.

Jay was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. His passing was unexpected leaving family and friends deeply grieving. He will be truly missed in so many ways.

He was preceded to heaven by his mother, aunts and uncles and many beloved pets.

He is survived by his father Steven Collins; wife Lorie Hill; two children, daughter Robyn Del Raso and husband Gerald, daughter Mary Elizabeth Collins and husband Bryce; three grandchildren, Aden, Giovanni and Chloe; four siblings, brother William Dokman and wife Tanya, sister Mary Stephanie Collins, sister Shirley Eve Collins-Zimmerman and husband Cass, sister Angie Collins-Ammons and husband Shane; stepson Brandon Hill, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

While we lost our most beloved dad, many have lost a friend and loved one in him. He was a master at sarcastic humor and witty timing, and even a glorious pain in the neck at times, but no matter what happened between you in your lives, once you were marked as important to him, he'd be by your side if you needed him.

His friends and family are invited to share happy memories and celebrate Jay’s life in the way he would want to be remembered, as a loving and caring man who enjoyed life.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 11:00am-1:00pm, at Associated Family Funeral Home, 230 North Maple Street, Adamsville, Tennessee 38310. Followed with a “Celebration of Life” at 2pm at Solitude Free Will Baptist Prsng, 6887 Leapwood Enville Rd, Adamsville, Tennessee 38310.
