Jamie Lynn Rogers, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2024, in Denison, Texas, at the age of 65. Born on December 28, 1958, in Texarkana, Texas, Jamie's life was a testament to the power of love and the simple joys of life.
Jamie was a hard worker serving as a janitor at the local hospital. His commitment and friendly demeanor made him a beloved figure among his colleagues. Jamie's dedication to his work was matched only by his devotion to his family and friends. He had a love for the outdoors, as he spent countless hours fishing, camping, and hunting. Jamie was a man who found happiness in the simple things—his family's laughter, a good day's catch, and the peacefulness in nature.
He was the loving husband of Claudine Rogers of Achille, Oklahoma, and together they shared a life full of laughter and love. Jamie's legacy lives on through his children, John Rogers and wife Rita, Jana Rogers, Terry Bailey, Nolan Hobbs and wife Lisa, Amy Scott and husband Jeramy, Ruth Hicks and husband JR, and Dixie Hobbs and husband Dustin. His 23 grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride, will miss his playful spirit and boundless affection. He is also survived by his brother Jackie Rogers and wife Mary Lou of Colorado, sister-in-law Connie Kramm and brother-in-law John Chandler who will remember Jamie fondly.
Preceding him in death were his father Herbert Rogers, mother Sybil McEwen, stepfather John McEwen, stepmother Rachelene Rogers, and sister Judith Rogers.
Family and friends will gather at his Family Hour from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 30, 2024, at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Rosewood Cemetery in Achille with Brother Anthony Williams officiating.
Those serving as pallbearers are John Rogers, Nolan Hobbs, Jeramy Scott, JR Hicks, Dustin West, and Terry Bailey. Ronnie Bledsoe will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
