Don Gilbert passed away August 24, 2024 in Plano, Texas at the age of 60. He was born September 15, 1963 in Norman, Oklahoma to Kenneth and Diana (Burden) Gilbert.


He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing with his son. He loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his daughter.


Don was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Diana Gilbert, his brother Jacki Gilbert, his stepson Richard McBride, his niece Mindy Vandenburg, as well as numerous aunts and uncles.


Don is survived by his wife of the home, Misty Gilbert, son Kenneth LN Gilbert II of Wade, Oklahoma, daughter Pamela Dawn Gilbert also of Wade, Oklahoma, stepsons Dakota and Zachary Ward of Bennington, Oklahoma, and Johnny and Kerry Paul Ashby of Bokchito, Oklahoma, his grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Don is also survived by his sister Pamela Cox and husband Tommy of Collinsville, Texas, sister-in-law Tammy Vandenburg, nieces Karla and husband Cam of Collinsville, Texas, and Heather Vandenburg, and nephew TL and wife Melissa of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He also leaves behind three very good friends, David Welborn, Elitha McBride, and Billy Roy French, along with numerous family and friends.
