John Snyder Wood passed away on August 17,2024.
John was born on August 23, 1970 to Robert Wood and Rebecca Lannon in Temple, TX. He is preceded in death by his grandparents John Fox and May Spearing Wood, Bill and Jane Snyder.
His parents Robert Wood, Rebecca Lannon, stepmom Peggy Wood. Niece Tabitha Wood and his girlfriend Dolly Barrow.
He is survived by his stepdad Mike Lannon of Hockley. Sisters Lori Hemphill of Seadrift, & Camile Tackaberry of Colorado. Brother Steven Wood of Port O Connor. Nieces Rebecca & husband Keith Gregory of Seadrift & Stephanie Wood of Houston, nephew Bobby Hemphill of Seadrift. Great Nieces Bre Ann Kelley and Brooklyn Gregory of Seadrift, Great Nephews Brice Hemphill of Uvalde and Brennan Gregory of Seadrift, many other nieces, nephews, cousins and longtime friend Chris Shepherd.
John was a surveyor, landscaper and recently helped with bathing dogs. He had a gift with animals. John loved to compete in darts, cards, dominoes and barbequing. He loved to hang out with his friends and participate in family events and activities. When he was with his nieces and nephews, he always wanted to make it a special a time. He was a diehard Cowboy fan and all ways could tell you the status for the season. He liked saltwater fishing and being around the water. He had a heart of gold and would help others anyway he could even when he was struggling. He liked to laugh and have fun but he also had turned sleeping into a hobby.
He will be missed by all who knew him. A private service will be held at a later date.
