It is with deep and profound sadness that the Legros family announces the peaceful passing of Stella Legros at the age of 80.

Stella passed away peacefully at the Temiskaming Lodge on August 17, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Stella was born on December 19, 1943, in Hudson Township (New Liskeard) to the late Thérèse Larose and the late Aurele Legros and lived in New Liskeard all of her life.

She was known as an affectionate, compassionate and giving person and was always ready to cook up a pot of macaroni to any of her guests.

She also enjoyed playing the harmonica at home and especially at functions (Kenabeek dance) when she was asked to go up and play with the band.

She is survived by her loving partner of 52 years, Alexander Morris, and by her son Eric Legros.

She also leaves behind her brothers and sisters Dominique (late Betty), Albany (Huguette), Ronald (Sandie), Laurier (Christine), Richard (partner Deborah) and sisters Denise (Vern), Suzanne and the late Claudette, and by many cherished nieces and nephews.

The Legros family will welcome relatives and friends at Buffam Leveille Funeral Home, New Liskeard location (Perrins) on August 24 from 9:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. followed by the funeral mass at 11 a.m. in the Sacré Coeur Catholic Church in New Liskeard.

The family would like to thank the health professionals at the Temiskaming Hospital long-term care unit and the Temiskaming Lodge for their unwavering support and help.
