Omar Zaul Real, 33, of Oceanside, California, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 17, 2024. Born on October 27, 1990, in Oceanside, Omar lived a life filled with love, joy, and a deep commitment to his family and friends.

Omar was the beloved son of Jose Luis Real and Lupe Real. From a young age, Omar exhibited a zest for life that was contagious to everyone around him. Known for his big heart and even bigger smile, he was always the life of the party, bringing laughter and joy wherever he went. A proud “big kid at heart,” Omar had a playful spirit and a knack for making everyone feel special, whether it was through his great sense of humor or his role as a devoted family man. Omar loved his family fiercely, always making time to be with them whether it was playing sports, watching movies, or attending overnight field trips with his boys. His love for his family extended to his community, where he was an active and involved presence. Dubbed the “PTO husband,” Omar took pride in being there for his children and their school activities. He was also a dedicated coach, sharing his passion for basketball with young athletes. 

Omar married the love of his life, Meagan Real, on October 24, 2020, in Las Vegas. Together, they built a life centered around love, laughter, and their shared interests. His enthusiasm and positive energy made him a great hype man, always ready to support and cheer on those he loved. 

Omar is survived by his loving wife, Meagan Real, his cherished children, Omar Sautia-Real and Xavier Real, his loving parents Jose and Lupe Real, and his big brother, Jose Luis Real. He also leaves behind his nieces, Sophia Real and Solana Real, his sister-in-law Elyse Real as well as his in-laws, Adolfo Martinez, Dora Martinez, and Tina Martinez.

Omar’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and his legacy of love, laughter, and community will continue to inspire. Omar’s passing is a tremendous loss to all who knew him, but his spirit will forever be remembered by the many lives he touched.
