Fred W. Dowdy, Jr., age 66, of Kingwood, Texas was born on May 18, 1958 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 9am - 11am at Thibodaux Funeral Home in Thibodaux, Louisiana. The service will begin at 11am followed by burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux, Louisiana.
Fred is survived by his wife, Penny Adams Dowdy; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Rodney Hyatt; grandsons, Wesley and Noah Hyatt; granddaughter, Parker Hyatt; grand dog, Munch; sister and brother-in-law, Iris and Bruce Hymel and their children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred W. Dowdy, Sr. and Wanda Hart Dowdy; in-laws, Harold J. Adams, Sr. and Doris Hebert Adams.
Fred was very proud of his family and friends. He was an avid Astros fan and was proud to work on the Houston Astros Customer Service team as a Ballpark Supervisor. Fred was forever proud to be part of the St. Charles Community that welcomed his family in 1969. He definitely left his mark on all who knew him. He will be missed.
