Eleanor Seer, Dietz, lovingly referred to as "Mom," passed away on August 17, 2024, in New Haven, CT, at the age of 88. Born on July 3, 1936, in Port Washington, New York, Eleanor dedicated her life to the joys of family, work, and personal passions.

Professionally, Eleanor was a meticulous bookkeeper and accountant. Her career was characterized by her sharp mind and attention to detail, skills that she also applied to her personal interests and hobbies. Eleanor had a profound love for painting, gardening, and animals, particularly cats, which brought immense joy and color to her life and those around her.

Eleanor's personality was marked by her gentle and nurturing nature. She created a warm home environment and was always ready to share her love for the arts and nature with her family and friends.

She is survived by her sister Sandra Dietz Cashman and her loving children, Kurt (Jan), Karl (Margaret), Kathe, Karin, and Krista (Mike). Five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert J. Seer. Her warmth, creativity, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
