Judith Lee (Nelson) Duell, age 81, passed away peacefully at her home in Foxborough with the comfort of her loving family on Saturday, August 17, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Jean (Johnstone) Nelson.

Judith was born in Norwood on August 7, 1943. A native of Norwood, Judith earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing at Massachusetts Bay Community College. She and her husband were married at the General Store in Silver Lake, NH on June 23, 1963. She has been a resident of Foxborough since 1972.

Judith was a RN at the former Norwood Hospital. She served on the altar guild at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church in Foxborough. She enjoyed rug braiding and was an award-winning quilter. She loved humming birds and was an avid gardener.

Beloved wife of Stephen R. Duell. Loving mother of Scott Duell and his wife Barbara of North Attleboro, Richard Duell and his partner Lisa of West Warwick, RI and Arthur Duell and his wife Kim of Wrentham. Devoted grandmother of Nicole, Andrew and Thomas Duell and Kenny Dupree and Kelly Howes. Sister of Dorothy “Tiny” Fraser, Richard Nelson, George Nelson, Linda Bollinger, and the late Thomas, Ernie and Steven Nelson.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a memorial service at 11 AM on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at St. Mark Episcopal Church, 116 South St., Foxborough. Interment to follow in the St. Mark Church Memorial Garden.
